Designed for The Eaterie dining hall at George Mason University, this mural was created to enhance the interior environment of a high-traffic, multi-station food space. The goal was to make the space more engaging and easier to navigate while visually reflecting the variety of cuisines offered.
Each food station was assigned a custom mascot, representing its specific cuisine or function. These mascots were developed within a consistent illustration system to maintain cohesion across the wall while still allowing each station to feel distinct and recognizable.
The direction was chosen to address both branding and user experience. By turning each station into a character-driven visual, the mural helps students quickly identify options while reinforcing a sense of diversity and energy within the space. The final composition brings all elements together into a unified system that represents The Eaterie as a central, shared dining hub on campus.
